SERVICE DAY OF

KIDS OF GORDION

 

The members of the Kids of Gordion painted animal pictures

on A5 paper size vertically with their own imagination. The

Head Master of the school, Mr. Nuri Serbetçioglu,

sponsered us to print the pictures as postcards.

the Kids of Gordion.

On 25 April 2008,

the Kids of Gordion, a Turkish student chapter of PTPI

started selling the postcards to raise money for the animals

in the shelters.

 

 

The adult advisor, Mrs. Irem Ebru Gürsoy, the president,

the vice president, the treasurer, the secretary,

the reporter and the homestay coordinator,

the English teachers of our school Mrs. Meral Abatas,

Mrs. Zehra Tülay Özdemir, Mrs. Serpil Ugrasiz,

the deputy principals Mr. Tayfur Simsek and

Mr. Ismail Hakki Bal prepared a corner at the school

to sell the postcards to the whole school

 

 

PTPI was with us on our service day! Mr. Ahmed Roushdy

from Cairo visited our chapter and the school and bought

postcards and donated the shelter. Many thanks to

Mr. Roushdy for helping our Global Youth Service Day.

 

 

We exchanged presents with Mr. Ahmed Roushdy. Our

Head Master Mr. Nuri Serbetcioglu received a certificate of

recognition from Ms. Mary Jean Eisenhower.

 

 

We gave school souvenirs to Mr. Roushdy.

 

We had a school tour with Mr. Roushdy.

 

We visited the nearby kindergarten, Mavi Uçurtmam Anaokulu.

Mrs. Gönül Özkan, the other adult advisor of the Kids of

Gordion, helped our chapter by giving brilliant ideas.

 

 

We are looking forward to working on Global Youth Service
